The project
ASTRO-IA continues the line opened by Astro+ and by project ASFAE/2022/017: applying artificial intelligence and large-scale data analysis to the enormous collection of high-mass star spectra gathered by the group.
The aim is to develop and optimise tools for spectroscopic recognition and analysis — spectral classification, determination of stellar parameters and binary detection — that allow the automatic exploitation of the hundreds of thousands of spectra that surveys such as WEAVE and Gaia are making available to the community.
